Nov..3 HAPPY HALLOWEEN

K-3   One of our parents who is the P.E. teacher at Avery Coonley came to teach his son's classes,
           Mr. Joe Schalmoser.  The kids were introduced to new and exciting games.  They really
            enjoyed the fun.


4-5     We are just starting our Pickleball Unit.  The students will learn forehand, backhand stokes, with their paddles.


6-8      The middle school is in the middle of their pickleball tournament.  They are all progressing nicely, some very exciting maches.

October 26th

K-3   The students loved climbing the yellow cargo net, in the gym.  Thank-you volunteers for
          helping me hold the rope.  Several of the students climbed to the top.  They were really
          suprised to see how far on top they were.


4th-5th   The students had climbed the climbing rope in the gym.  Several made it to the top.
               They took off from the vaulting box and were able to swing or climb.


6-7-8     The middle school finished their soccer tournament with great games being
               played.  Some of our students skills are amazing (even in this gym).  I was
               very proud of their team playing skills. Congrats to all.

September Doings

K-2  Review of all locomotor skills: skipping,galloping, running, leaping, and sliding.
         Throwing overhand and underhand.
          Incorporating games with all the skills involved.

3-5    Review of basic soccer slills, modified games played.  Switching different positions,
          playing both offense and defense.
          Review of football skills: laterals, hand-off, centering.
          Played games using flag-football.


6-7-8  Started school with our team building exercise.  How we treat each other in a team sit-
            uation.  Worked on fitness skills, ran the mile, had phenomenal times:
             6th grade-Charlie Dollard 6:22
             7th grade- Liam Kelly 6:00 (best overall)
              8th grade- Brendan Loughren 6:06
            All grades did a terrific job, thank-you Cross Country
